Today during the first full day of the 2015 G.I. Joe Collectors’ Convention, aka JoeCon, Pop Critica’s very own Travis attended a panel this morning that featured a look at some of G.I. Joe’s untold history. The panel, “G.I. Joe: Behind the Lines,” featured a look at unreleased 1989 and 1990 vehicle prototypes. It was hosted by Frank Coroneos, who designed many G.I. Joe vehicles towards the late ’80s and early ’90s. The images in the gallery below show prototypes that never got green lit thanks to the success of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the time. So enjoy this look into the past of G.I. Joe that never was.
